Wedding Rules you Can Break, Skip or Ignore
|
Wedding celebrations are getting more personalized in recent days, as brides and grooms exploit new styles to make their wedding a memorable one. They are not afraid to break the mold and cross out outdated traditions in order to have the best moment of their life. Couples should be free to think outside the box and include things that are meaningful to them instead of just being stereotyped and following these customary wedding rules;
1. The bride should be the only one in white: If white is not your color, you don't have to be pessured to wear the bridal hue. Wear anyting that makes you feel beautiful and extremely gorgeous that day. There are lots of options in colored bridal outfits that can accommodate your choice. While it is considered a ‘sin’ for a guest to wear white when attending a wedding, knowing that the bride would wear the same color, these days experience more bride squads wearing white ensembles to accompany the bride. When it comes to color, brides should pick one they are comfortable with. It is your special day, ensure you make the decision that will make you the happiest that day.
2. Brides should wear high heels: High heels are sexy and make you look great, but some brides might be afraid they would trip in it or simply couldn't stand the pain of wearing it for hours. You should put comfort first as you would want to enjoy every moment of your big day conveniently. So, if you think it would be better for you to wear a pair of sparkly flats or even sneakers, just to make you comfortable, then go for it.
3. You should look different than usual: Modern brides are breaking the rules of having a glamorous make-up and hairstyle on their wedding day and choosing to embrace the natural look instead, if you are not the kind of bride that like heavy make-up, simply choose a look that will accentuate your best facial features. You don't have to look different from your usual look or transforming yourself to someone else you wouldn't recognise. Instead, try to be the best version of yourself.
4. Bridesmaid should look identical: Mismatch bridesmaid outfit are all the rage right now as opposed to bridesmaid dresses with the same color, pattern, and style. Your best friends should have the freedom to pick the type of dress that will suit them best, they should also be allowed to show individual personality through their fashion choices. As the bride, you still need to ensure that the whole look is still cohesive with your wedding theme and venue. If you want them to be a bit uniform, you can give them matching accessories to complete the look.
5. The bride should toss her bouquet to the singles: One of the most expected wedding highlights is usually the time when the bride asks their single friends to gather around and try to catch her bridal bouquet in hopes that they will be next on the line for the altar. It woudn't be much fun for single friends who has been doing this for more than three weddings. In fact, some people would find it simply embarassing. Instead, you can split the bouquet open and give out pieces of it to the important people in your life. Tossing of the bouquet can be skipped and replaced with something else to honor your friends.
